9-20 # Beginning of the week

Today was our first day of classes, or rather our introduction to our classes. The professors we met seemed pretty nice and I could understand most of them. The only people I really have trouble understanding is my host mom, who when you explain you don't understand the words, she just repeats them... it takes her a while to decide to try some new words... and one of our professors Alfonso. It's not the he speaks particularly fast, it's just his accent is very very thick, and hard to listen past. My "Spanish-ear" has definitely been trained to accents other than his!
